A journey into the wonderful world of words
This year, we’re using the magic of storytelling to ignite a love of reading in the younger generation. We ran a workshop with the Year 5 class at Parish CE Primary School to create a festive story for everyone to enjoy.
To boost literacy levels, now and in the future
With 7.1 million adults having a reading age at, or below, the level of a 9-year-old1, and 43% of adults not understanding written healthcare information1 – we want to do more. Our purpose is to make it marvellously easy for everyone to say ‘I get it!’, whenever or whatever they are reading.
We believe that a passion for books, reading and storytelling can be transformative for young minds developing their literacy skills.
Better adult literacy means better health literacy, which ultimately means happier, healthier lives.

Meet the authors
You couldn’t find a more imaginative and enthusiastic bunch than the children of Parish CE Primary School.
They can’t wait for others to enjoy reading their story, as much as they enjoyed writing it.
