PM Soc Procurement Strategies

by

The PM Society has invited consultation on their new report; Procurement Strategies: Ensuring optimal outcomes and the best value possible for all stakeholders.

I think it’s a balanced and genuinely useful look under the bonnet of how things work – and what could be better. I especially love the focus on client:agency chemistry. So essential!

Finding the right agency partner isn’t always easy

Procurement teams and agencies often work with different priorities, and that can lead to inefficiencies, frustrations and missed opportunities.

This is a resource designed to make agency selection, collaboration, and commercial arrangements more effective for everyone involved.

The guide covers

  • How to select and work with agencies more strategically
  • Best practices for running a smooth and efficient RFP or pitch process
  • Transparent remuneration models that support strong, lasting partnerships

You can read the report here. Why not share your feedback to help shape a resource that works for the whole industry?

My contribution

I would like to see more focus on making a difference for patients. This includes making it marvellously easy for healthcare professionals and patients to say ‘I get it’, so everyone gets the most from medicines.

Given that the cost of a pitch for agencies is £30-80,000 (and you might have three agencies pitching) are you getting up to £240,000 of value? If not, why not read the section in this report on briefs – and of course get in touch at hello@wordbird.london.
